Emma Ortiz is an artist born and based in Miami. After receiving her BFA at Parsons School of Design, she moved back home and began painting orchids in the backyard as studies. These studies evolved into a practice in which she treats each piece as a diary entry, referencing matters of nature and images from imagination. With a deep awareness of the present moment and creating work intuitively, Emma uses oil paint to tell stories of mood, connection and trusting yourself. 

Emma has spent the last four years working with private collectors, galleries and has partnered with companies such as Anthropologie and Sweetgreen to further share her voice.
